Year End Wrapup, all Original Meme Style:

 

1.) Best Event of 05: The Lionel Richie on Air Canada situation.

2.) Popular song from 05 I enjoyed the most: Golddigger, Kanye West. I know, but I'm not afraid of what you think of me. You've already read all the shitty songs I love.

3.) Worst single moment: Waking up in the ER hours after I'd fallen and smashed my face. It was extremely disorienting. The second worst moment was after they let me get up to go to the bathroom and I caught a look at myself in the mirror. The third worst was realizing I broke my eyebrow.

4.) Best show: LIONEL. Ok, or the Pixies.

5.) Best Movie: I loved Sin City.

6.) Best TV show that I discovered a little late: Grey's Anatomy. I love everything about it except the main character. She's drippy.

7.) Biggest Accomplishment: Keeping my shit together and not running away, even when I really, really wanted to.

8.) Crappiest week: Oh, I'd have to go for crappiest MONTHS, which were July-October.

9.) Thing that made me laugh the most (Jan-June): Karaoke revolution with Shandy and Doug.

10.) What I won't miss at all about 05: The shitty, shitty things that happened to everyone. The way I felt.

11.) Most fun had at the casino: When Gramma and I discovered playing 100 pennies at a time on the penny slots. Har!

12.) Best meal: Nataz. Coconut-crusted pork chops with a mango sauce. TO DIE FOR.

13.) Thing(s) I discovered: People don't always give you the whole story and sometimes the what's omitted is what hurts the most.

14.) Favorite website: All the celebrity gossip sites.

15.) Best discovered journal: Jason Mulgrew

16.) Most obnoxious end-of-year realization: The surgery I had was a total waste of time.

17.) Favorite new article of clothing: The spiffy boots I bought at Lord and Taylor.

18.) Favorite perfume: Overall, it was Narcisso Rodriguez, as it was last year. An end of year front-runner is Pink Sugar, which is nothing like anything I'd usually wear, but I love it.

19.) Best CD: M. Ward, Transistor Radio

20.) Concert(s) I'm annoyed I missed: Dead Can Dance, M. Ward.

21.) Muppet giving me the most joy: Miss Piggy. What with her hair flipping and buggy eyes and over inflated sense of self worth! Also, the clothes that are inappropriately tight and annoying speech patterns. Miss Piggy, you've given my friends and I a lot of late night chuckles, and for that I thank you.

22.) Best ebay purchase: The awesome sock monkey paintings.

23.) Thing I found out I still suck at: Poker.

24.) Knitting accomplishment: Well, I knit the front and back of a sweater for Nick. Sadly, just the front and the back.

25.) Most amazing thing, overall: How desperately this year blew donkey cock.

26.) Movie I wish I'd seen: The Aristocrats.

27.) Thing I'm most optimistic about for 06: That no one will unexpectedly die, be arrested, maimed or harmed in any way. That vodka won't try and kill any of my friends (or me), that I'll have a lot more love and peace of mind.

28.) What I'd like to do in 06: Travel. Win something huge at the casino. Watch my grandmother win something huge at the casino.

29.) How turning 35 makes me feel: Not as nervous as turning 30 made me feel.

30.) Thing I still hated to do in 05: Answer the phone. Make phone calls.

31.) Most obvious epiphany: When people are angry at me, they hurt me. When I'm angry with them, I hurt myself.

32.) Favorite homestarrunner.com character: Pom Pom.

33.) Thing that made me laugh the most (July-Jan): Nicole discovering itunes.

34.) Thing I swear to god will not happen in 06: I will not ride in an ambulance.

35.) Promise to self: I will stop being apathetic about things.

36.) What I want for all of you in the new year: Happiness, love, joy, tons of sex, laughter.
