How am I for dedicated to you all? I got into work at about 7:30 this morning so that I'd have time to post the Friday Song. In today's case, however, because I've missed the past couple weeks, I'm giving you two songs. That's right! Two! Who loves ya, baby?
I like to include a little back story with the songs I post, and for these I'm not sure I have one. I bought the CD about a year ago, after hearing a few of the songs. Come to think of it, Nick may have been the one playing the songs since he listens to much cooler internet radio than my 24/7 Flashback Alternatives (you can PICK the obscure 80s songs you want to hear! Rock! When you become obsessed with the station, don't blame me. Well okay, you can blame me. It's totally my fault). I liked them right away. You may not and as always, that's your perogative.
Here are the songs. The band is Interpol. They were nominated for a Grammy last year, but lost to Good Charlotte or some other crappy faux angsty teen band. I really REALLY like them, so keep that in mind as you listen. Listen with a "Dana loves this music and I love Dana, so I need to try and love them too" sort of vibe going. Or don't. Again, it's your perogative.
