April 4

Okay, so I was going to write this whole entry about important, pressing issues, but then realized that since we went out to dinner and had sangria and drank this glass of absolutely lethal Spanish liquor and then they brought us over the same sweet wine stuff as the last time we went and we're all talking about moving to Spain, which I had intended to mention (short story short: Nick has possibly been offered a job doing some computer thing that I don't know about in Spain. We don't know when, where, what part, why, how much or for how long. Under a year. More than 6 months. It's still very preliminary and vague.)

It doesn't take much of an excuse for me to want good Spanish food, though and I'm all over sangria. The fact that

I DON'T DRINK, MOTHERFUCKER

means nothing. Sangria doesn't count, does it? And it counts less if it's a pitcher split between three. Yup. So, here I was all ready to talk about stuff, and alcohol's brought into the mix. I'm not drunk, I'm not even buzzed, but I'm really not in the mood to give you people all of the cutting edge, biting commentary about local politics, weather and news that you've come to expect from Dana.

I don't want to let you all down, you know? You come here to read issues, and I am usually all about giving you issues, but tonight I just can't do it. Tonight, I'm just savoring my meal and going to sleep. Tomorrow, I'll go back to my discussion of Rudy vs Hillary and George Dubya vs Bush. Tomorrow, we'll talk foreign trade. I'll give my opinion on Bill Gates and Microsoft. I'll tell you how I feel about religion, death and dying. I promise. Oh, yes indeedy.

You've seen it all before you
You know the truth can be unkind
You fear the worst is hiding
It's when you lose your mind
All I hear is chimes at midnight
Only seven deadly sins
You hear the words denying
You can't believe but you try
When you long for what you don't have
It's why you live and die

You say your love is endless
But jealousy is blind
As we speak I rage and tremble
I must be sure you're mine
